Day Twenty-Nine: How can your talents and interests be used to fight human trafficking?

Background:

There are ways we can help fight human trafficking through all kinds of our talents and hobbies - even rollerskating! :)

How can your additional talents be used?

Action: Check out ways others have used their talent!

  • Rollerskate to Liberate’s volunteers

    • Our volunteers use their talents to help us all the time! For example:

      • Our awesome social media and digital marketing content have come from various digital creators!

      • Photographers Amelia Kramer, Lexie Huys, and Paige Maurer, have donated some of their photo sessions to help us create more content - and all the people featured in the photos donated their time too!

      • Various members throughout different communities in Indiana have used their social groups, places of work, and other connections to have speakers from Rollerskate to Liberate come chat with their networks.

      • All of the tutorials and things you saw this month featuring skaters were there because those skaters allowed us permission, and some even made new content, to help us create and solid monthly plan.

  • Redemption Ink uses passion for tattooing to help cover up old gang, pimp, and other past brandings.

  • She is Powerful uses the art and passion for dance as therapy for survivors of sexual abuse and violence.

  • Z girls was created by and led by athletes sharing confidence to young females age 11-16.

Action: Share your passions and raise donations!

  • If you’re here, you’re likely already doing this by partaking in the #MovefortheMovement challenge! If you have other passions, find out how you can participate in other causes you care about, because as we’ve learned … so many causes are connected to the roots of exploitation!
